Throwing large swimbaits or glide baits during the pre-spawn and early spring transition is a strategic way to target true giants that are feeding up before moving shallow to spawn. A big, realistic profile mimics the larger forage bass are keying on this time of year, drawing reaction strikes from fish looking for a high calorie meal. The SWB956 is the go-to blank for this application, built to launch oversized baits long distances and maintain control throughout the retrieve. Its moderate fast action helps absorb violent strikes and keeps big fish pinned on large treble hooks, giving anglers the power and confidence needed to land a pre spawn trophy.
